How to Assemble the Portable Trolley ready for use
Unpack the trolley except for the battery and lay all the equipment and parts out clearly in front of you.
At this stage we’re using the battery to weigh the portable trolley down whilst we set it up.
The HIP-Y Controls Monitor will come with screws in the back of it so they do not get lost during transit.
Unscrew these screws.
Make sure you place the mounting clips in the HIP-Y correctly.
The mounting clips may come attached to the brackets, you should be able to wriggle them off or loosen with a screwdriver.
There is a small knob in the centre of the mounting clip that sits in the hole on the corner of the HIP-Y Control Monitor
The screw hole will go in the same one it came out of.
Screw in all 4 mounting clips so they’re diagonal.
The HIP-Y Controls Monitor will now look like this:
The next step is attaching the brackets.
You should be able to manoeuvre the screws into the black mounting clips.
This can feel like a tight fit. This is how it is supposed to be, so the HIP-Y does not fall off the trolley.
Note that the screws are at the inner most part of the keyhole slot.
The monitor and bracket are now ready to be mounted on the trolley.
On the support bar of the trolley there is a button to release the extendable handle.
With one hand push the button in and with the other hand pull the handle up.
You will then see 2 holes each side of the extendable handle.
The HIP-Y is light and compact enough to be able to attach the brackets with one person, but You may want an extra set of hands, to hold the HIP and brackets in place when bolting together the brackets to the trolley.
Either have the bolts ready on the trolley lid so they are easy to reach or in your hands when lining up the holes on the bracket and trolley.
Pop all 4 through and start doing up the bolts.
If you tighten the top one on one side and the bottom one on the other side you free up your hands to do the rest and also tighten them.
The portable trolley is now assembled.
Plug the lead into the bottom of the HIP-Y-monitor then plug into the Portable Power pack.
Turn on the power button on the power pack.
Ensure the cord is on a straight padded closing of the trolley lid and close to the under side of the HIP-Y Controls Monitor to prevent crushing and catching.
You are now fully assembled. You can now move the portable Controls Monitor around the site with ease.
Caution:
Be aware of strong winds as this may blow over the device. On windy days please place an a brick or weight either side of the battery in the trolley to anchor it down.
