How to Lock a Zone to an Activity
As a Builder & Contractor
If you have created Zones and you want to make sure the Zone is used and monitored for only one activity, you can lock the Zone to that activity on the neXtrack platform.
These instructions are done as a builder but are the same steps for a Contractor that has a site with zones.
Locking a Zone to an Activity
Once you have logged into the neXtrack platform, clicked on ‘SITES’ on the side menu, selected the site, click on the ‘Site Maps and Zones’ Tab.
Click on the ‘Zone’ Sub-Tab.
Now click on the Zone you wish to lock to an Activity.
In this example we are using ‘Cutting Room’ Zone.
Inside the Zone you will see more tabs. Click on the ‘Details’ Tab.
In the ‘Details’ Tab you will find the option to ‘Lock Zone to Activity’
Click on the down arrow beside the option and select the activity.
In the example we are going to use ‘Cutting (Includes Chasing)’ as the activity.
Note the QR Code – this is used to log an activity in the Zone.
Click on the green [Save] button.
The ‘Cutting Room’ Zone is now locked to the activity of ‘Cutting (Including Chasing).
