How to Turn on the neXtrack HIP Monitor

Users onsite

Once there is a zone established for monitoring hazards, and you have positioned the monitor in the zone, there are a couple of things to check before the monitor is ready to be turned on.

  • Is the monitor on stable ground, or safely and securely mounted?
    • Make sure the Monitor is not a trip hazard.
  • Is the gateway device connected to power?
    • Generally the gateway blinks green and turns to a solid green when its connects to the HIP Monitor - At this stage of instruction, it should be blinking.

Once you have ensured the above has been done, you can connect the neXtrack HIP Monitor to power.

The traffic light on the monitor will blink a few times while it is starting up.

It will take approximately 45 – 60 seconds for you to see data come through to the neXtrack platform SITE dashboard.

If the data is not visible throught the neXtrack platfrom after 2 minutes, check that the Gateway green light is solid.

If the green light is still blinking, the gateway may need to be moved to a more direct line of sight to the monitor.

Concrete obstructions, metal walls, etc can impact the connection between the gateway and HIP monitor.
